Hi Adam, the answer will depend on the type of microscope you're currently using. To give a very broad overview, there are three ways to take photographs through a microscope.

  1.  First, you can attach a microscope camera to either an ocular or trinocular port.

  2.  Second, you can buy a digital microscope with an integrated digital microscope camera. Many newer models of digital microscopes and handheld microscopes are coming with a built-in camera nowadays.

  3.  Third, you can attach an SLR or point-and-shoot camera to your microscope, via an adapter and step ring.
