For the Holidays, we have packaged a series of affordable stereo and monocular dissecting microscopes with our popular owl pellet kits.

The owl pellet kit is a wonderful sort of gift in itself. It involves the anticipation and excitement of 'unwrapping' the pellet in order to discover the discarded bones of the owl's prey. Each owl pellet has the discarded bones from the owl's meal and the kit includes a bone identification chart and dissection sticks.

Stereo microscopes are great for examining macro specimens such as flies, crystals and feathers among others. For young kids, they are easier to use than compound microscopes and arguably lend a degree of instant gratification that helps spark the younger mind. They are also perfect for the more advanced hobbyists with more serious viewing criteria.
