AM4023U 1.3MP Color Camera with Eyepiece Adapter

Summary

The new Dino-Eye AM4023U microscope camera is a 1.3 megapixel microscope camera which fits over an existing eyepiece so there is no need to remove the eyepiece, itself. Manufactured by the ever popular Dino-Lite digital microscopes, it offers the same innovative image capture software and excellent color reproduction. The key upgrade from the AM423U is a newer generation sensor which offers the AM4023U a richer color palette for more vivid image reproduction.

DinoScope Software

Dino-Lite USB 2.0 software is compatible with both PC (DinoCapture 2.0) and Mac (DinoXcope) computers although currently, the touch trigger mechanism is not enabled for Macintosh computers. We have found the software to be robust and reliable. It enables image capture, video and time lapse video while measuring capabilities include linear and geometric as well as circular and point-to-line. Notations can be added and edited in English or 24 other languages. You can capture an image by clicking in the easy-to-use software or, on T models, simply tap the button on the housing. It is worth noting that the color resolution is excellent due to the fixed white-balance calibration which is set at the factory using a jeweler's color balance. Finally, the software enables frame import or export, notations and USB 2.0 output to BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIF, JPC, PGX and several other output image formats and WMV, SWF or MOV video formats.

There is also additional, FREE software available for download: DinoVision enables easy image drag-and-drop, split, overlay and comparison, which has proven useful for Forensic Scientists and more sophisticated users where image manipulation is important.

The new WF-10 WiFi adapter turns this Dino-Lite USB-enabled microscope caemra into a portable inspection station, streaming images or live video to an iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Android tablet or wireless computer. The onboard battery pack offers up to 6 hours of service and you can network with up to 5 devices at once, from up to 50 feet away. WF-10 Adapter sold separately.
