BAT-310-MVH2 Dual-Head Trinocular Teaching Microscope

Summary

The Motic BAT-310-MVH2 Dual-Observation Teaching System is ideal for university and medical school teaching roles in which the instructor and student are using the microscope at the same time. Innovative features include a new generation of EF-N Plan achromatic objectives set in a reversed quintuple nose piece and 10X high-eyepieces set in a 30-degree inclined Siedentopf trinocular head. Standard 6V30W Halogen illumination, full Koehler condenser and large mechanical stage round out a uniquely versatile system suited for a wide range of biological teaching and instructional applications.

Optics

The optical system is designed around a new generation of Color Corrected Infinity System EF-N Plan Achromatic objectives (4x, 10x, 40xS and 100xS Oil) set in a reversed quintuple nosepiece. These new lenses are multilayer-coated for improved color fidelity and image enhancement. The trinocular primary head features 80:20 beam-splitting for crisp digital images and 55mm x 75m of interpupillary adjustment. widefield high-eyepoint N-WF10X eyepieces feature 20mm field of view and dual dioptric adjustment. Two teaching bridge configurations are available, depending on your laboratory needs; face-to-face or side-by-side. To enhance the learning experience, the teacher can turn on a built-in LED pointer in either red or green color.

Stage & Focus

A hard-coated 175mm x 145mm rectangular stage is controlled by ergonomically-placed coaxial drop-down controls offering 76mm x 50mm of XY range. Focusing includes concentric coarse/fine control knobs operating machined rack and pinion gearing for smooth, controlled movement. Safety features include a rack-stop to prevent damage to the objective or slide, and a slip clutch to minimize the risk of damage due to over-extension.

Illumination

Our Motic BAT-310-MVH2 comes standard with 6V/30W Halogen illumination system with built-in power supply and separate lamp house to minimize unwanted heat transfer. Variable intensity controls ensure bright, shadow-free illumination at any magnification. Alternatively, 3W LED illumination is available.
