The New Meiji EM-20 series stereo microscopes bring a modern, clean design to the student biology or science classroom, at a very competitive price. Featuring convenient fixed magnification at 10X, 20X, 30X, or 40X, they present sharp, erect images across a wide field of view. Variable LED upper and lower illumination, a rugged design and generous working distance ensure years of dependable service in the classroom or teaching laboratory.
Optics
Choose between 10X/20X/30X or 10X/20X/40X objective settings, and enjoy 10X WF eyepieces and a generous 60mm working distance below the objective turret. The left eyepiece offers +/- 5 diopter adjustment and both eyepieces are set in a binocular 45-degree head which rotates 360 degrees for optimum student-teacher interaction. Interpupillary adjustment range is 55mm-75mm and all optics are treated with anti-bacterial protection.
Focus & Illumination
The EM-20 series includes dual-sided ergonomic focusing controls with rack-and-pinion gearing and tension control. The LED incident and transmitted illumination is variable intensity and can be used separately or together for optimum viewing.
Stand
The aluminum-alloy enamel-coated stand features an ergonomic wide base for stable footing, a glass stage plate and two stage clips. It also features a convenient carrying grip for safe, secure handling. A 1.800 mAh rechargeable battery and external power supply allow fast chargeups and convenient portability between the classroom and field study sites. Base dimensions: 222mm X 175mm.
