Why You’ll Love It
The OM139 1000x microscope offers some of the best value within the Omano range. It’s packed with advanced features like infinity corrected optics, plan objectives, and Kohler illumination. We focus on every detail when building this 1000x microscope, like incorporating springs into both the 40x and 100x objectives to mitigate the risk of damage to the slide or objective.
It’s built with a durable and flexible body too. The OM139 includes a Seidentopf microscope head inclined at an ergonomic 30 degrees so you can comfortably study your specimen throughout the day. The head is rotatable through 360 degrees for flexible viewing positions and also makes collaboration with your colleagues a breeze.
Let’s Get Optical
What can you see using a 1000x microscope?
1000x is about as microscopic as microscopy can get. Magnification levels include 40x, 100x, 400x and 1,000x. At 1000x magnification, you can observe samples and specimens as small as 0.180mm, or 180 microns, across. Now that’s small!
Other unique optical features to geek out about:
- Four plan objective lenses (4x, 10x, 40x spring, 100x spring, oil immersion) for superior and flatter images on the lens.
- An interpupillary adjustment range of 55-75mm.
- A diopter on the left ocular for individual eye focusing.
- A pair of 30mm super-wide field SWF 10x eyepieces for a far better viewing experience.
- Rear-facing objective lenses.
- A click-stop nose piece which provides more space for accessing and changing out slides.
Focus on the Stage
We sought to set this stage apart. It’s a generous double-layered mechanical stage, measuring at 155mm x150mm. The stage and coaxial/fine focus control components include unique construction features like:
- A movement range of 80mm x 50mm.
- A spring-loaded slide clamp with dropdown coaxial controls for convenient “eyes down” operation.
- A fine focus scale value of 0.002mm.
Additional safety features include:
- A rack stop to ensure that the stage that protects slides from breakage
- A slip clutch control to mitigate the risk of damaging the focus controls through overextension
Farewell, Weak Illumination!
With the OM139 1000x microscope, you get to choose your light source. Pick traditional halogen illumination or LED illumination. Configure your illumination option before you put this microscope in your cart.
The condenser of the OM139 is a professional Abbe 1.25 N. A with an Iris diaphragm and filter for optimal adjustments.
The higher quality Kohler illumination built into this microscope is powered by 6V 30W halogen or 3W LED, both offering variable intensity control.
Swap Out that Hard Eyepiece for Soft Imaging
The OM139 1000x microscope is available in both binocular or trinocular formats, with the ability to add on an OptixCam Summit digital microscope camera too. Just select the MP option you want before you pop it into your cart.
The OptixCam Summit K2 Series digital microscope camera series works well with Windows operating systems. Installation is fast so you can start capturing images and video right away. The software is packed with features that help you manipulate your images and easily share your findings with colleagues:
- Image capture
- Notation
- Geometric measuring
- Storage in JPG, BMP, TIFF, and RAW format
- Auto white balance
- Color enhancement
- Anti-flicker
… among other image-enhancing benefits that make image capture and sharing easy.
