Summary

Designed with incident Epi-illumination, the IM7000 series can be used for a wide range of metallurgical applications. They are metallurgical microscopes purpose-built for both incident (reflected) and transmitted observation and study of large sample metallography, alloy heat treatment, and metal physics. They include Meiji's excellent infinity corrected optical system with four Planachromat E objectives, E5x, E10x, E20x and E50x and two SWH 10x eyepieces. Koehler vertical halogen illumination is included. Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Optics

The Siedentopf head, inclined at 30°, is available in binocular or trinocular format. Interpupilliary adjustment is 53mm to 75mm and there is a diopter on the left eyetube for individual eye focusing. Eyepieces include two SWH10x widefield high eyepoint eyepieces, FN 22. Optional eyepieces include SWH15x, SWH20x and SWH10x-F focusing. Four E-planachromat objectives are included, E5x, E10x, E20x and E50x set in a ball-bearing operated quadruple nosepiece. Optional E5x and E1000x objectives are available.

The trinocular head has an 80/20 beamsplitter for photomicrography (100% to eyetubes or 80% to phototube & 20% to the eyetube). Please note that you will need an adapter appropriate for your camera.

Stage & Focus

The plain stage measures 180mm (X) x 245mm (Y) plain stage. An optional mechanical stage and a variety of specimen holders are available. Focus controls are low-positioned for comfort with coaxial, coarse/fine focus knobs with adjustable tension control.

Illumination

Vertical Illumination is Koehler 6V 30W with universal voltage and auto voltage sensor..
